What’s involved in getting a website setup?

There are three primary costs associated with websites; production, hosting and advertising.

Production is the actual creation of the website. Hosting is the fees associated with storing the website on a server (a computer) available to the internet; and sometimes advertising fees for links from other high profile sites - just like buying an ad in a magazine or newspaper.

Oh - and if you get a domain name there’s also a license fee that has to be paid to the administrative organizations of the Internet - every year.

WHAT IS HOSTING AND WHY DO I NEED IT IF I HAVE A WEBSITE ?

Hosting is simply the storage and broadcasting of your website files on a computer system that is permanently connected to the Internet

We have a variety of hosting options each offering different levels of functionality and capability - if you do not need a database there's not much sense in paying for it...

HOW LONG ?

That depends on how organized you are, what materials you have available to you and what our workload is - but typically one full day for every “page”.

WHAT DO I NEED ?

We tell our clients to sit down and think about what it is they want their advertising to do for them.

Gather as many photos of your products or services that you have permission to use.

Write out a description of your product/service and how you would like the information presented.
