Hillside Lodge is located 13km West of Golden
B.C., 500 meters off Hwy.1. at the beautiful Blaeberry River, Just a 3
hour drive from Calgary (int. airport). The Lodge is nestled in a wonderful,
quiet retreat surrounded by the gorgeous Rocky Mountains, overlooking
the river and valley. There are trails right on the property leading through
fields that are covered with wildflowers, throughout the forest you can
watch the birds or wildlife, along the riverbank with a spectacular view
of the Rockies or you can explore Columbia River and marshlands just beside
the Hillside Lodge.
60 acres of secluded mountain beauty offer 4 rooms in the Main Lodge with balconies, and 5 cozy chalets (1 or 2 bedroom). Each cabin has a bedroom, bathroom, living room with wood stove and Bavarian style handcrafted furniture.
Winter here at Hillside Lodge, the snow abounds! Giant snowfalls transform the surrounding area into a winter playground that all can enjoy, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, tobogganing or just curling up in front of a fire for a tranquil romantic evening are a few things you can savor here. You will not easily find the beauty and type of peace and quiet that abounds at this lodge in the depth of winter in other destinations.
Hillside Lodge is surrounded by the most famous National Parks of Canada, Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Yoho and Glacier (Rogers Pass). They are all easy to reach by daily trips. We can also arrange all the other activities.
